Bring your own key

HTFlow's built-in agent has no AI of its own. Connect an OpenRouter key and it runs on that, billed by OpenRouter at OpenRouter's price.

Connecting a key

  1. Create an OpenRouter key
    From your OpenRouter account. One key reaches the models OpenRouter carries, so you are not committing to a single provider.
  2. Paste it into HTFlow
    Settings → AI Keys. Keys are encrypted at rest, scoped to your account, and removable at any time.
  3. Pick a model
    Any model your key can reach. Stronger models write better first drafts; cheaper ones are fine for edits to an existing section.

Who bills you

OpenRouter does, directly, for exactly what you used. Nothing is resold through HTFlow and there is no credit pack to buy first. See What HTFlow charges.

If you would rather not manage a key

Connect an MCP client instead. A ChatGPT or Claude subscription you already pay for can build the same sites without a key existing anywhere — see the MCP server.
